This page is brought to you with the support of "The Porch" Antiques and fine furniture (aka Celtic Bob's shop ) - Remember all money you bet against Rangers will be reinvested in the club (and the bar). TCRSC is a member of the North American Rangers Supporters Association (NARSA) and was formed in 1995. We are now located at The Madison Pub in the downtown area of Toronto (moved from The Duke of Gloucester Pub in September 2006).
Although a relatively small club we are actively involved in supporting and promoting Rangers Football Club in North America through our association with NARSA and through contacts with fellow bears back in Scotland and around the world. The club was primarily formed to give Rangers fans in Toronto the opportunity to ‘follow follow’ through live satellite transmissions of games from Scotland. Our current President in cooperation with the Duke of Gloucester Pub was a ‘pioneer’ in bringing in live games (English and Scottish) to Toronto by satellite and was responsible for bringing in Rangers games for the first 2-3 years. The club assumed control for showing Rangers games when NARSA negotiated an exclusive collective agreement with the satellite companies in 1997. We now show every available Rangers game. Visiting bears are more than welcome to join us at the Madison Pub, which is conveniently situated in ‘downtown’ Toronto, on game day for breakfast and a pint (or two!). TCRSC members do not limit their support to watching games on television. Our members regularly follow the team from the stands at Ibrox (spot the T-shirts!) and the terracings of Europe. We have been visible at the NARSA conventions over the years, most notably in Glasgow in 1997. We hope you enjoy browsing our site. If you are visiting Toronto in the near future or have any comments about our web site feel free to contact us. |
